CEO Wanted for Bo Ohlsson i Tomelilla AB
The growth and expansion of Bo Ohlsson i Tomelilla AB is entering a new phase, which is why we are looking for a business-oriented CEO with a strong interest in employees, customers, partners, and business development.
Bo Ohlsson i Tomelilla AB, with over 100,000 items in its assortment, plans to increase its store area from approximately 10,000 sqm to 18,000 sqm over the next 7-8 years. We aim to double our revenue during this period.

About the Position
You will be offered a qualified and developing position in a leading company. Bo Ohlsson i Tomelilla is characterized by its closeness to customers, short decision-making paths, high ambition levels, and professionalism.
As CEO, you will be responsible for the entire operation. You combine a commercial and humanitarian perspective and are attracted by the opportunities of modern retail. Your focus will be on continuing to develop the business, the employees, and driving the company's continued expansion profitably.
You will have full budget, business, and personnel responsibility. Your work will partly be project-based through various development and improvement projects.
Your Focus Areas as CEO Will Be:
- Create the conditions for “Bo Ohlsson i Tomelilla 2.0” and the continued expansion in close collaboration with the management team and other key individuals
- Develop profitability
- Leadership and management as well as further development of employees and managers
- Business development across all operational areas
The position includes continuously keeping yourself updated on the industry and market as well as evaluating against competitors and the external environment.
You will receive active support from the board and owners to achieve set goals.
You will have around 65 competent employees and managers to coach, inspire, and lead to achieve the best for customers, partners, and owners.
You will report to the company's board.
Who Are You?
You have several years of experience in managerial roles with personnel and budget responsibility within retail or a related industry.
We are flexible regarding your educational background, meaning you may have studied at a college/university, YH/KY, or have other relevant education and/or experience.
We see it as a significant advantage if you have experience in profitable growth of businesses in close collaboration with employees and partners. You have a clearly commercial demeanor while also having a good understanding of sourcing, marketing, IT/digitalization, and business development.
We consider it an advantage if you have experience in driving expansion and improvement projects with a focus on profitability.
To succeed in this role, it is essential that you are driven, business-focused, and relationship-building. You are also trustworthy, communicative, stable, and entrepreneurial. Furthermore, you are a person who is solution-oriented and can maintain a good balance between operational and strategic thinking. Characteristics that we also believe are important for the position include being outgoing, fearless, goal-oriented, and results-driven.
You have the ability to structure, plan, and develop operations and possess strong leadership qualities, as well as being able to communicate, inspire, and motivate easily. As a leader, you see and acknowledge your employees, providing them with security and long-term prospects. At the same time, you advocate for active coaching and clarity.
Being a good leader who stands up for their staff and always prioritizes the best interests of the company, employees, and customers is a given for you.
The position requires proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. You see potential in and understand the opportunities with business systems, CRM, and digitalization.
A valid driver's license (B) is required for the position.
For this recruitment, we will use psychological testing for candidates selected for interviews. We will conduct background checks as well as drug and alcohol tests on the final candidate in this recruitment.

Bo Ohlsson i Tomelilla AB had a turnover of approximately 202 million SEK in 2023 and has about 65 employees. We are a reliable partner for customers and suppliers while being a destination for customers throughout southern Sweden.
In our 10,000 sqm department store, you will find over 100,000 different items from well-known suppliers at genuinely low prices. Within 7-8 years, we plan to have 18,000 sqm of store space and have doubled our revenue.
